Alright so this is what I've been doing for the 20$ challenge lately. I have been making myself lunch everyday for school meaning no more money spending in the awfull cafeteria at school. I still buy myself the drinks because I already have so many to carry and drinks always tend to spill or become warm which I don't like so a little spend here and there still comes my way but already this saves me 30$ on food for lunch from Mon-Fri. Another thing I decided and been working on is every pay check I simply take out 20$ and put it in the new white piggy bank with a silver princess crown on it, which my boyfriend bought for me for our half a year anniversary gift. I will simply save it for emergency cases and simply save up and use that money for spending instead of my paycheck as if it is my allowence. Well, that is all for my first attempt in the 20$ challenge so let me know what you think.

Alright for my savings. I was able to convince my dad in not having to pay him back so it can be my birthday gift because if you didn't notice I want to buy a labtop. Yes it is a macbook pro and many people are against it but all the other brands I've tried didn't work and didn't have my requirements. My boyfriend has a macbook and he lent it to me a few time and I fell in love with it ever since. Not to mention it has the programs I need for my band job. I can finally work properly on the music videos and what not. Not to mention I don't need any anti-virus programs and damn it NEVER crashes woohoo! Also if I ever need windows I can instal it as well. It isn't as good but it's mostly for work and band so tada. It kinda sucks that I have no solitary though T_T lol. I play minor games which I checked and CAN play on macbook pro ^_^ I also checked that I can pay a certain amount of money per month with my credit card so I won't have to pay in one shot and I can save for university which I will be saving for from now on. I will still buy myself new clothes because I tend to wear my clothes till they use up horribly so I have no choice but to buy new clothes after a while but it is the first time I don't spend on myself like I used to. In my mind now all I think about is SAVEEEEEEEEE! Now I'll stop here and tell you about my 20$ challenge which I decided to start doing for a week now.

I just got back home from school and checked the mail. I FINALLY RECIEVED MY TAX REFUNDS.
I got 729.94$ from the Gov. Can. and 414.68$ from Rev. Que. adding to 8.07$ that I had surviving in my bank account >.> that makes a total of 1,152.69$.
I'm gonna take out a total of 700$ leaving me with 458.69$ DON'T TOUCH money in the bank for simply saving. I'm gonna pay:

-mama back her 300$ for the plane tickets=300$
-papa for this months bus pass and summer school=284$
-Tina Yang for the missing cash for summer school=40$
-Jinxi's birthday gift which I am chipping in with my boyfriend and friends to buy him a big gift=20$
-50$=myself(upcoming birthday at a club)
*I won't be spending 50$ at the club but It's for food in school too and any supplies I may need for my summer school.

The cash in the bank I don't want to take out yet for my savings, for my trip to florida and the memento's because It's for life saving risks and simply because I feel better when I have some left over cash in my bank and not just like 50$ left over cash lol

But once I get back to work on May 20 and I get my first pay check I will start taking out 20$ for my trip per pay... or maybe 40$ because I make a lot. I'm a supervisor where I work and I've been working there for I THINK 5 years now if not more. It's for poor children. It's a great cause and MY PARENTS are the BOSS. So I work for my parents... Only problem is they are harder on me than anyone else so I can show the example to others.

Well to start off, When I first started in saving and doing great in school I get kicked in the butt with Mono which is transfered by saliva when you share food drinks or by kissing. I just started saving for fun and then this hit me. It consumed all of my energy and money. I am still out of work but will be going back May 20, 2008. I went back to school but I am having a great deal of difficulty in catching up. luckily I have reliable friends to help me as much as the possibly can. I owe my parents money, and i need to get a lot of late birthday and one Christmas gift for my sister. I'll start by paying back my depth and then move on to saving for my trip to Florida.. I want to by souvenirs for my close friends as they've done for me. In the same time, I will save up for my upcoming semester in college to be able to pay for my classes and buy the supplies/books necessary.
